About Lyle Malcom
In 1982, Lyle hired a piano technician to tune a church piano. It was his first experience being around a piano tech, and this gentleman was gracious enough to share years of wisdom, expertise and plenty of useful information. He also tested Lyle to see if he had the "ears" for the craft. Lyle was hooked. He immediately started learning everything he could and began tuning practice on his own piano.
Lyle's piano career has taken him all over the country. Although he's managed large piano dealerships, Lyle has remained a piano technician with a deep appreciation for the piano. Over the last 20 plus years his clients have included some of the largest piano dealers in the country, recording studios, universities, piano teachers, professional musicians, churches, and more home and stage pianos than he can remember.
Lyle has had the good fortune to tune the pianos of Carnegie Hall artists and well-know musicians, including David Lanz and Barry Manilow.
Lyle Malcom is a lifelong musician. His musicianship includes being a pianist, guitarist, award-winning vocalist, church musician, choir director, and recreational composer. His musical background, combined with his experience and commitment to the craft, has made him a very popular piano tuner-technician.
